It has been present in Portugal since 1972, when it introduced the 7UP brand to the Portuguese market. Later, in 1987, the company acquired Laprovar, owner of the Pála-Pála potato brand, further consolidating its position in the country. Today it markets well-known brands in the beverage and food sector such as Pepsi, Lipton Ice Tea, Gatorade, Lay's, Ruffles, Doritos, 7UP, Mountain Dew, Mirinda, Tropicana, Quaker, Cheetos, Fritos, Crunchy, Karamucho, among others.
As part of its sustainability roadmap, PepsiCo has implemented with Ewen several energy control, reduction and efficiency projects at the Carregado plant.
