Gierlings Velpor chose Ewen to carry out a global audit. With this detailed study, which included dedicated audits of various systems (steam and compressed air systems), it was possible to identify improvement measures and recommend corrective actions.

These audits begin with an analysis of information about the premises, such as size, occupancy patterns, operating hours, energy bills and any existing energy management systems. This is followed by a physical site visit to survey equipment, production systems, insulation and any other relevant energy-consuming components.

The data is gathered and processed, and a report and recommendations are made, identifying opportunities for energy savings. The recommendations are always calculated based on the cost-benefit ratio, potential savings and payback period.

As a result of this audit, Gierlings Velpor went ahead with the implementation of several proposed energy efficiency measures, as well as energy monitoring and management and the implementation of a solar thermal power plant.
