Shamir bets on energy efficiency with relighting of its stores

Shamir partnered with Ewen on an energy efficiency project focused on the relighting of its facilities. By replacing tubular fluorescent lamps with LED lamps, Shamir has achieved benefits in reducing electricity consumption, increasing lamp life, improving lighting quality and reducing maintenance costs.

LED lamps are much more energy efficient than tubular fluorescent lamps, which means they use less energy to produce the same amount of light. In addition, LED bulbs have a longer lifespan, which reduces the need for frequent replacement and associated maintenance costs.

The supply of 1179 24W 1500mm LED tube lights was fully funded by Ewen, meaning that Shamir did not have to make any financial effort and focused the investment value on its core business. In return, Shamir and Ewen will share the savings generated from this reduction in electricity consumption over the next 5 years.
