Grupo Bel is a French company specialized in the production of cheese and other dairy products. Present for several years in Portugal, it is the leading brand in the cheese market at national level.
With Ewen, Bel carried out an energy efficiency audit, thermographic analysis and subsequent manufacture of jackets to avoid heat losses in production processes and thus increase energy efficiency.
A detailed survey was carried out across uninsulated steam system components including valves, filters, steam traps and boiler end plates. Based on this survey, 369 e+jackets of thermal insulation were custom made and fitted by Ewen.
As in other countries, the Bel Group in Portugal takes a sustainable approach to its production. The company is committed to using responsible production practices and reducing its environmental impact.
This work has been done mainly by implementing energy efficiency measures, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, using renewable energy and also through responsible waste management.
