The Amorim Group has chosen Ewen to develop a global energy management system, with which it can manage the energy consumption and costs of all its plants.
This remote monitoring and energy management system - e+Monitor - is being used to manage all the energy consumed by the 19 production units in Portugal. The project involved retrieving all historical data from the old system and integrating it into the new system.
For the rest of the Amorim Group's facilities, Ewen has installed electricity meters, temperature and humidity sensors on the site.
Amorim Group with e+Monitor
e+Monitor allows data from the various units to be entered (automatically or manually). It also allows to know the specific consumptions of the various plants, and to benchmark similar equipment installed in different plants.
It also includes the energy tariff simulation functionality (electricity, natural gas) which has proven to be a very valuable tool in the annual renegotiation of the various energy supply contracts.
